KE-agrar is not a silage additive, but a registered feed supplement, which can also be used excellently in silage. KE-agrar contains exactly the same biology that is effective in nature for stabilising silage. This biology is normally found naturally on the healthy forage plant, but not in such a high concentration as in KE-agrar. It is only through a specially developed production process for the manufacture of KE-agrar that these high concentrations are produced. Under exclusion of air, the biology produces increased lactic acids, which very quickly initiate a stabilisation process and can thus naturally help to prevent reheating as well as faulty fermentation. KE-agrar as a feed supplement is thus also an efficient additive for silage, which can naturally improve the quality of the silage.
KE-agrar is suitable for: Grass silage, whole plant silage (GPS), maize silage, CCM but also wet cereals.
KE-agrar silages
- do not burden the digestive tract with chemically produced acids.
- increase the appetite.
- improve the stable climate due to higher organic binding of ammonia
- improve the drainage of liquid manure
- support the decomposition of floating and sinking layers of manure.
- do not allow slurry and manure to rot, but promote the rotting process.
- Therefore less nitrogen loss and odour.
- continue their microbial properties into the soil.
Good digestion → better feed conversion → better metabolism → higher performance → milder manure, lower ammonium load → manure is better tolerated by the soil → better plant growth → higher crop yield → higher quality of the basic feed ... etc.
Dosage:
KE-agrar is suitable for grass silage, whole plant silage (GPS), maize silage, CCM and wet cereals. It is very important to distribute KE-agrar as evenly as possible over the silage to ensure homogeneous mixing of KE-agrar with the ensiled material. Depending on the ensiling method, there are different ways to get KE-agrar into the silage. The most ideal is to introduce it directly via the forage harvester, the CCM mill or via other dosing devices.
Dosing grass silage:
0.25 lt KE-agrar per tonne + sufficient water to wet the silage.
Dosage maize silage and GPS:
0.4 lt KE-agrar per tonne + sufficient water to wet the silage.
Dosing of CCM or milled wet cereals:
0.5 lt KE-agrar per tonne + sufficient water to wet the silage.
